SCF08
Jonathan de Guzman is in action tonight for Feyenoord away in the derby against Excelsior. Hopefully he can give a similar performance as last Tuesday when he scored and gave 2 assists in the cup. Game can be watched here and starts in 2 hours and 30 minutes. http://www.myp2p.eu/broadcast.php?matchid=4725∂=sports Brandon Bonifacio and Cambuur are also playing away tonight against RBC Roosendaal. Start fan in exile
Olivier Occéan started and scored the opener in Lillestrøm's 4-0 friendly win over newly-promoted HamKam. The interesting thing was that Occéan started as the central striker in the 3-man front line. Coach Tom Nordlie is known for deciding on his line-up day one of training camp and sticking with it all season (barring injury). This should suit Occéan much better than the wing role he had much of last season (although he seemed to get his share of goals anyway)

Guest Jeffery S.
Stalteri, yes Paul Stalteri, starting for Spurs against Sunderland, and they are up on an early goal. Very nice to see, give you a bit of faith in Juande, when he gets over the previous prejudices about the squad and trains more with the players I am sure he'll gain greater confidence in our man. Wow, I really thought we had seen his last days as a starter for Spurs. Maybe he really was injured over the Christmas break and that's why Ramos didn't dress him at all? Of course, he could be playing him just to remind other teams who are shopping for right backs that he does, indeed, still exisit.
gator
That may be the case sloth, either way it's got to be good for Paul to get playing time! Hopefully if he doesn't stay at Spurs he goes to a good club! How about my Queens Park Rangers, richest club in the world!

Diesel subbed after 78 minutes for the most overrated player in England. Any coincidence 'Spurs haven't conceded in the 1st start Paul's had in months, even without Ledley King? JamesW
And the ten men Ipswich get one point away to Blackpool. De Vos goes the 90 minutes. Iain Hume plays the whole game for Leicester in a 0-0 draw with Norwich. The game is just about up... And the ref blows the whistle. Simeon Jackson went 90 for R&D as the get beat up 4-1. Good fixture to start to get back your timing and game shape.

Good fixture to start to get back your timing and game shape. The press says Juande rested starters thinking about the Arsenal semi coming up Tuesday, but it is still a good sign that Paul was considered, as we were getting to think he'd been outright banned. Juande tended to have a fairly rigid starting 11 at Sevilla that stayed free of injury, but always tried to selectively sub in another 6-8 players to keep things fresh, and there as at Spurs the squad was not designed to handle more than one competition. In this respect he is quite different from Benítez, who seems to be always rotating everyone.
BearcatSA
quote:Originally posted by Cheeta Dude, they played Sunderland. My thoughts exactly;). However, great to see him start and if nothing else get in the "shop window." Now, if he were to retain his place in the second leg of the Carling Cup vs the Arsenal . . .
