Shock of shocks....Jaime Peters is actually in the team for Ipswich today, albeit on the bench.

Not really, based on his performance in the FA Cup I was expecting him to be in the team. I will be greatly surprised if he does not see action away to Blackpool next week.

Anyways, 84th minute, 1-1.

Ipswich game ends 1-1. De Vos went the full 90 and Peters remained seated.

Iain Hume was subbed out in the 92nd minute as Leicester City won 2-0 over Coventry.

Inverness CT lose in the Scottish Cup 3-0 to Hibernian. Richard Hastings played 90 minutes.

PSV currently leading 0-1 at HT.

...And it's over with the 0-1 scoreline holding. PSV earn their victory on the road in Rotterdam.

Didn't see much of De Guzman, in fact it was a pretty conservative showing from both sides and even more so from Feyenoord who didn't seem to have a crisp, free-flowing game today.

It was a complete horror-show. I expect and hope as a Feyenoord supporter that at least 3 players will be immediately dropped next week. This is completely unacceptable and disgraceful. Especially in the type of game , league leader against fellow league leader.

De Guzman was pish and I havent seen him play this poor since he started playing as a first teamer. Absolutely shocking and unworthy of the Feyenoord jersey.

Marcel de Jong did well today as I got to see him play for 45 minutes before and in between the Feyenoord game. Made a good impression but Roda were held to a disappointing 1-1 draw against Willem II.

AEK Athens punish Veria FC with a 5-1 drubbing. Tam did not get the start, but entered the match in the 24th minute subbing off Dellas. By that time the game was already 3-0.

Ismael Blanco scores 2 more to pull further ahead of Radz in the goalscorer standings.

GolTV will show the Villarreal-Deportivo match on Sunday morning.

Another Sunday match with Julian !

The problems just pile up at Depor. On Thursday Aouate the keeper complained in a press conference about losing the starting job to Munua, basically saying he felt it was unfair. The next day, as he walked out of the shower after training, Munua levelled him with a right to the eye that left him floored. 9 stitches and a black eye. Reports say it was unprovoked in the particular moment, that Munua was taking revenge for the comment but that all that morning no problems had been seen between them. Other players jumped in and it seems some who are also fighting for starting spots, like strikers Bodipo and Taborda got at each other over the same issue. No report of Julian being at all involved though.

Problem is that Lotina the coach has declared he does not want either keeper to play for the rest of the season. Most journalists are arguing that they really deserve different punishments, one for spouting off (a fine maybe), the other probably what he got or at least a few months. But Lotina seems to not like Aouate and is using this as the excuse to get him out of the team. So they are playing the B team keeper, an 18 year old they say is good (Depor B are at the top of their 3rd tier division), along with another kid as his sub. So very risky for a team and for Julian's future in La Liga, as Depor are second to last and seriously threatened with relegation.

Wow, that's quite the story here. Crazy stuff.

Maybe they should sign Paul Robinson...[:o)]. Seriously, they should release Munua for what he did and keep Aouate. I know he has had a few bad moments this year but he is a quality keeper.

1-1 Villareal-Depor first half, Julian is playing holding mid for La Coruña in a match with two doubtful penalties so far.

Radzinski has scored again for Xanthi who lead PAOK away after 55 mins.

Radz outjumped a defender on a cross and headed in past Dani Fernandes m. 35. Paok missed a penalty chance after the Xanthi keeper was red carded for his foul in the box, and still can't get the draw even with an extra man.

Maybe the first, but I thought the second had to be called - you can't block a free kick on goal with your arm raised in the air while standing in the box, that's a PK every time.

Thought Julian had a good first half. It's the first time I've seen him play for Depor this season and he seems to have improved his forward passing ability, looks a little more confident, in comparison to previous seasons with the club.

You get it on Goltv, Gianluca? The announcers here did argue over the call but that gesture is pretty typical in those circumstances.

With so many changes at Depor, calling up a few players from the 2nd team apart from the keepers, it is a great sign that Julian continues to start for the team. And the result (now 2-1) will be fantastic if they can hold on, as it will keep them in the fight to avoid relegation.

Edit: spoke too soon, ends 4-3.

^To be substituted on 36 minutes, either you have to be hurt or playing absolutely gawd-awful. Anybody know which one Bircham was today?

Bircham (making his first start since joining YTFC)was subbed out of the game due to a nasty head wound with one of the Southend Utd players
