aussoccerfan
Halifax has a 3,500-seat arena called Exhibition Park that has an old MISL team's field. Could pro indoor soccer work in Halifax ?
Kevin McMillan
I'd think the Metro Centre would be a better fit. While there are teams drawing sub 3,500 a game in the league, it would be an awful tough go of it and it's debatable that any of those teams are anywhere near breaking even. Jason
quote:Originally posted by aussoccerfan The Metro Centre has over 10,500 seats. I'm not that familiar with Halifax, but I will suggest that any pro club that doesn't play at the Metro Centre, which is the premier venue in the city, won't be taken overly seriously as a pro club. For a prime indoor soccer example, look at the pitiful attendance the Edmonton Drillers had at their new venue in St. Albert. Traditionally, the team drew well, even last year. I think it's a really tough sell to convince fans you are legit when you're playing at a place like this. Jason
