Trident
Odd little bit of wikipedia that needs editing: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Toronto_FC#Not_currently_on_the_roster Why on earth under "Not currently on roster" are there such names as: Jon Paul Piques(I understand he was under contract, not anymore) Craig Forrest Rick Titus Matt Palleschi Massimo Di Ioia If this is an arbitrary list why not put Kaka, Nasri or Van Der Vaart? Although I do think putting Forrest in net would greatly aid your team.

I don't expect Rick to actually reply to that point as it is probably something that he shouldn't talk about BUT Rick has said that he will be attending the open tryout this year. Personally, I think Rick would be good for TFC despite his age.
Loud Mouth Soup
Forrest trained with the club and considered playing, but chose to remain retired. That's why he's there.

That's why he's there. on a kind of related note, FoxSports Australia played EPL Classic matches today which featured Ipswich vs. Leeds from '93. Craig looked like he was about fifteen. He made a couple of handy saves, but still let in two goals in a 4-2 win. It was a good bit of nostalgia watching the best 'keeper our country has ever produced back in action. rick titus
I won't be going to open trials I think I will most likely go to the camp in Florida or join the trials after the open camp is finished, as I did last year.

thunderguy
Hey Rick, Other than you, was there anyone else on this years Lynx that has a shot at TFC? TG
rick titus
I think Murphy Wiredu did very well this past season. He has the right attitude, and he busts his ass for his team. He listens well, and scores awesome goals with both feet. The other players are all good as well, but just need to develop better training habits to be more consistent. They just need more of a killer instinct, but they are all well skilled, and actually have more skill than myself. The only thing they are missing is consistency, and gamesmanship. That will come if they play against better opponents that will beat them, but through that they will learn the intricacies of the game. Alex Rhue Lesche is also another Lynx player that might do well with TFC as a developmental player. He has great work ethic, tackles as hard as hell, and has a real nasty streak that will serve him well as a pro! Oh yeh and he's frickin huge as well! Frank Jonke was injured most of the season, but he will definetly play pro once he is finished school. He is heads and shoulders above Lombardo and is huge, probably bigger than Alex! Another kid that is ready for a trial is Derrick Rios. He's very slick, very confident, and has alot of game saavy. Mad skill as well. John Tsimpane is another good young player that could play pro at the USL level right now, but he is at school. I expect when he is done that he'll definetly play pro in the MLS if his current development stays on course. He's fit, strong, and skillful, when he is on he is tough to beat. He will probably be pissed that I spelled his last name wrong!LOL! Kayin Jeffers is a young player that impressed me as well. Crazy fit, great work ethic, and is pretty good with both feet. In the right environment he will really prosper as a pro. As a matter of fact he was training with TFC reserves last year, so to answer your question thunder guy, I would have to say yes. The players I mentioned are ready for the jump it just depends how badly they want it, and how willing they are to sacrafice to get there!

thunderguy
How about Fairweather, the Lynx defender that was selected to the Canadian national university team at the FISU world championships in Thailand? He scored a few goals for the Lynx and was selected as the PDL player of the week in July. Is he ready for TFC yet?

VPjr
Rick, it is really great to get your perspective. Are you going to be at Lynx tryout event at BMO on Thursday?
rick titus
I'll be at the BMO on thursday at 2:00pm. See you there if you can make it! Oh yes, Jamie Fairweather is a very good defender, and has all the tools necessary for pro. He works very hard, he's about 6"2 and he has good work ethic, but he just needs a little more work with playing out of the back. Thanks for all your support and kind words fellas, it's much appreciated!
