I got a call from TFC today.....they are reserving 1000 seats for us!! First we need to fill the 566 in sections 114, 115 and 116 and then we can fill the other 3 sections.

they have made a buffer out of sections 113 and 119 at either end.

We MUST fill those sections. BTW, those buffer zones might be perfect places for the NEE shirt and a nice big Canada flag!

We will OWN this stadium!

No worries, D. Both the giant NEE jersey and the massive Canadian flag (currently in our possession) will be making an appearance.

And I have a pretty good feeling that all 1000 seats will be filled by TFC fans. The supporters groups have a head start, but soon the general public will be offered a chance to travel to that game as well.

VIA has arranged special trains for NHL games in the past. I think they may have also done this for CFL games.

I contacted VIA directly about running a train for any future Toronto v. Montreal friendlies, but to be honest, they didn't seem all that interested in cutting us a deal other than their standard group rates - even with a few hundred takers.

I've looked into it as well, and it is really cost prohibitive.

Scheduling isn't good either. With a travel time of four to five hours and five trains per day, it would be almost impossible to do by train without an overnight.

It would be a good party though.

Update:

We have the entire south end of crew stadium to ourselves!! RPB also added a third bus to the trip!! RPB second bus is half way sold out...RPB have a few groups of 8 each that will be joining on the next few days and that puts to about 35 people on Bus #2 :) U-Sector is half way through there second bus as well and Ceilidh House Hoolies have sold out one bus and are starting to take reservations for the 3rd bus that RPB added. The third bus will probably will carry CHH, RPB and U-Sector overflow. So we have a total of 7 buses going on this trip. 6 overnight and one same day return + NEE 50 people with minivans and at least another 70 driving them self.

The Columbus Crew supporters are putting on a party for us after the game on Saturday night at O'Shaughnessy's.

Parking lot at the stadium is secured for all the TFC fans. Tailgate!!!!!

ALL FOR ONE !!!!

^ Should we really trust going out to a bar as invitees of the Crew fans? I smell an ambush, complete with rubber tubing and phone books.

* Okay, it's because they don't leave bruises when you get hit by them, you see. I know someone was gonna ask about the rubber tubing and phone books.

LOL!

Yes, if the game were on a Saturday, it would be just horrible to be stuck in Montreal overnight!

There is an occasional late night milk run train, but it is horrible and smells like rotten feet.

TFC Arranges Sameday Buses for Columbus:

One word. WOW. We’re so amazed with the unbelievable passion and dedication that our Supporters Groups show us time and time again. Creative flags, loud chants, great atmosphere and a commitment to watch TFC play – whether it's near or far!

In case you haven't heard, the Supporters Groups have spent countless hours planning a road trip to Columbus on Saturday, March 29th, which is right around the corner. So far, they’ve confirmed that over 1100 fans will be making the trip across the border.

To help make this event even bigger, we want to get even more bus loads making the trek across the border.

Just how big is this flag???? I assume it will be at WCQ as well.

I don't know the exact dimensions, but it's pretty big, maybe 20-30 feet long.

But yeah, it'll be making appearances at WCQ games as well.
