Bigbird is COOKED

I would like to pass on my extreme gratitude to all of the members of this forum. I have had some good times, as well as a few fun filled times, some unhappy moment’s as well good moments. I know that everyone tries to be focused of certain topics and try to maintain a certain protocol. I am find it very difficult each day to maintain this integrity and discipline to talk about others in Italy and try to report - movement- transfers- scores- new players- injuries – etc etc in the simplist way.

My true intentions has been this and just this alone, to help the cause of this forum, to supplying the public with information that they may or may not be useful to them, and or to others that wish to react in words how they felt about the information, to hold the thought, or simply do nothing with it and move on.

For me it was a desire to continue on updating to dear friend of mine steps, who now passed away just over a year ago as we speak> To continue in this area that I felt he offered this forum news from Italy as it came to him and passed on to you. I thought I could do the same with certain access I have and he had given to me even thou of his passing.

Unfortunately I am finding it ever so more difficult for me to inform this forum as to the updates in Italy, and or in discussion on any topics, and not because my identity, being know as BIGBIRD and UCCELLO was the same thing, and of course it was always available to anyone who had an Italian dictionary along side of him just to figure it out, but I would say more so it is difficult when your son is one of them… As Grizzly mentioned in a discussion a week ago when we had exchanges, it may have just woke me up a bit, but just a bit. I certainly do not want Grizzly to get all bear headed and say I told you so. but Grizzly is right and 100% correct, it sis diffcult due to the conflict of interests both personal and not personal because of my psotion with my son, and to comment on others its just not right .

So as of today I want to inform this forum this is my last post, I want to thank the many Voyagers that have participate in my discussion, topics and or my updates that I have truly tried to do my best but at the least always in a positive way of freedom of the press and certainly never have directed any comment at anyone in a bad way! but always positive and in what I believe in and i want ot leave this forum in good standing as I came in the first day and my first post when I was greeted.

I want to look forward to my son’s career as a father not as a reporter> and if something should come out down the road then that’s fine. The we all can share it, in a Canadian way hopefully if all goes well then you to can be the fan that I never thought you would be for some in this forum or for that matter if you are today we all can enjoy sharing him in a positive way later in life to help the cause to make Canada better for him to continue his dream and his drive moving forward each year.

Yours truly,

Frank Uccello

I forgot to mention I will always take the time to read this forum so be good and be nice?

Let me be the first to say that I remember the posts your dear friend made on all the players in Italy and I thank you for coming on here and adding to the discussions. I understand your point about the conflict of interests, but I hope you can provide the odd update about Julian's progress through Italy, hopefully he can realize his dream and move to Serie A. (or TFC).

BigBird, I don't want you to understand me in an erroneous way. I as everyone else here hopes that Julian does well and that all the other Canadians in Italy do well. I don't want anyone suggesting that Julian or another player in a lower league in any country should be called up when we have players in higher leagues who are scoring. On the other hand I am completely supportive of these players and I hope that some of them will do well and exceed our expectations and some day be deserving of a call up. I think many people here appreciate your updates on the young players in Italy. I hope you continue posting here about Julain and other young players in Italy. Let their achievements speak for themselves and the whole forum will be calling for them to play for Canada if they deserve it. Just keep us informed about what they are doing and we will evaluate whether we should be demanding them to be called up. No one wants you to stop posting here BigBird not even the Grizzlybear with whom you have argued so much, just try to post the facts without too much interpretation about where each player fits in the national team situation. In many cases you are our only source of information about many players. And of course noone has inside information about Julian like you do! The Grizzly really, truly hopes that you will continue to post here and even if we do not agree on everything that is the purpose of fan forums. Please do no leave us Bigbird and wish the Littlebird as much success as possible from the Voyageurs.

Your informative posts on our young players in Italy will be missed, as you filled the void left by Alberto's departure so well. Feel free to change your mind! Best of luck to you and your son and I hope you get to spend some time together over the holidays.
