Should this have been a red card??

Jamit did a post game pod-cast on that match and I remember everyone was still hot and going on about the called back goal but for me it was that challenge going effectively unpunished which really set the alarm bells ringing. The Yanks should have been down to 10 men 20 minutes in but were let off the hook and because of that every judgment which followed was stained with suspicion.

Wouldn't have gotten away with a challenge like that in Winnipeg's rough and tumble football in the '80s. Not a chance. You'd be off the grounds so fast your head would be spinning. So how does a latin ref, no stranger to a more gentile form of the beautiful game, in 2007 let that go? Ridicules. Simple ridicules.

I dunno.... your argument seems a little thin! Plus this is the second time in a 10 post thread you have mentioned beer... maybe it's time to lay off the sauce a little :D

As awful as it was, I did have a hell of time watching the game with the V's at the bar in Toronto.

I think when they called that goal back, there were people with furniture in their hands. An ounce more of insanity and we might have destroyed that bar.
