From Marcel's father.

By the way, Marcel can't wait to play for Canada again, for what its worth.

I'm not so sure that that was Marcel's father. He sent me the same message and speaks truly terrible English for someone who supposedly has lived in Canada for 15 years..?

Just checked the line-up for Roda and Marcel is again on the bench.

Well that's possible. I sent him a DVD of the Canada-South Africa game. The address was in Holland. He seemed really sincere so I will give him the benefit of the doubt. Plus there are lots of small details in one of his emails that would be way too strange/weird for someone to make up, just to score a DVD.

My father was born in Italy and has lived in Canada since 1969. The elder De Jong's writing is a lot better than my fathers. :D

It doesnt really matter anyway does it..;)

Good news now is though that De Jong's replacement is having a shocker so far and De Jong is already having a warming-up after 15 mins of play.

Very good chance that he is going to come on in this game and take his spot back.

And Roda now take the lead 0-1..:D

Brandon Bonifacio's team are also leading 0-2 in a game that is at the Half-Time stage now.

EDIT:

Roda now take a 0-2 lead..! They are playing some excellent football and the 0-2 was a peach. Mind you , PSV are letting them be excellent because they are pretty abject today...

WOW , 2nd half just started and PSV vs Roda is now 0-3. Excellent performance by Roda and it could/should have been 0-6....[8D]

It's getting better and better by the minute for Roda , 0-4 now.

In the end PSV manage to scrap back 2 goals but they were never ever going to take any point from this match. Marcel de Jong stayed on the bench unfortunately for the full 90 mins.

Brandon Bonifacio enjoyed a good evening with Cambuur Leeuwarden as they defeated FC Dordrecht away (2-3). Young Bonifacio again completed the full 90 mins and has completely shown his ability in the past few weeks. I can most likely get some highlights of this game so you might get a chance to see some shots of him.

EDIT :

Highlights of Dordrecht vs Cambuur can be watched here...

Bonifacio plays with number 23 in the yellow shirt.

Well, I guess we'll find out if Stalteri gets the start tomorrow at home to Man City. He's been interviewed in the club news for his thoughts on this encounter, so perhaps that's a good sign, for what it's worth:

Despite his playing situation, he seems pretty easy going and diplomatic. How come our soccer media weren't able to get an interview with him following the SA match? Did he not return calls or did no one even bother trying to contact him?

Hopefully, he starts :)

Some nice words for Eriksson... Maybe he is hoping that Sven is looking for a right back to play first team minutes.
