rodfern2007
South Africa 4 Canada 0. I know they lost to the U.S. on Saturday, but this is a new game for South Africa and they will want to make up for their loss against the Americans. Plus Canada under Mitchel have not impressed me that much and will not do much against South Africa. I know I'm going to get a lot of stick for this, but there we are. And for the record, this will be as close to South Africa as Canada will ever get. Don't count on them to qualify for 2010. Those spots will taken by the U.S., Mexico, and Costa Rica, plus either Honduras, Guatemala, Jamaica, or Trinidad & Tobago.
Cheeta
Echo that. Canada-2 RSA-nil The only thing that worries me about teams cobbled together like RSA have (familiar faces drawn from local teams) is you always worry that there's going to be a trio of players who've got their groove on and are punching above their weight because of it. Anyway, feel good about this match. Lads have some fun and Mitch gets a win because... I'm switching things up a little today. Been sipping the Alexander Keith's at most of this year matches and haven't seen Canada win in three. So keeping that in mind we're going to have to go to the bench and send in Big Rock's Grasshopper to try to turn the old luck around. Knock on wood. Guest Dave
1-1 Hume with the late equalizer for Canada. Then moments later, Hume scores a second goal, which is called back for offside, although it is clearly onside.
