Dear CSA bootroom editor. Please give a sh1t just enough to not call our country The Canada, and not mistake Tomasz Radzinski for a woman. Cheers.

Hey guys, I've sent an e-mail to the CSA communications guy (Richard Scott) a while ago (in august I believe) regarding Domenic Mobilio bio on the CSA website. I thought it was quite disrespectfull to list him as being 38 years old on the site when the guy has passed away.

Mr Scott answered me that they were fixing birthdate/death of the players. Well, guess what, on the players page he's still listed as being 38.9 yrs old

http://www.canadasoccer.com/eng/nationals/roster.asp?sort=team1D&sub=3

but they have changed his bio (in the easiest way..):

http://www.canadasoccer.com/eng/nationals/_profile.asp?playerid=1076&sub=3

I think it's pathetic from an organization to have stuff like that on their website.

LOL, Peter Zezel is in the CMNT pool!! Bob Iarusci is on that list, Gerry Gray, Branko Sugota etc. [:o)]

Bunch of goofs...Dan Fernandes is still on the list..Yet sadly, i was just trying to look up the d.o.b for Jason Quezada and he's not on the list. WTF?

The bar for that website is so low I've seen children with better updated web sites for their pets. Remember the CSA's only outlet to the average fan is through the bootroom and that website. Media people, please roast these fools.

Well football365's latest running podcast joke is "what has Michael Owen injured this week". Jamit you might want to include "What has the CSA done wrong this week" in yours. You'd never be short on material.

Well I have been thinking hard about doing a ridiculous story of the week segment, of course with a funner title, but I couldn't give that away. However, I get the feeling the CSA would be a regular contributeur to the segment!

When we spoke to Vince Ursini after the Soccer in Crisis forum a couple of weeks back, I asked him why the hell they don't find someone from a local high school willing to work on the CSA website as part of their co-op. Honestly, the average high schooler would do a much better job than what we've got. vince just shrugged and sort of laughed. It's sad, really. The CSA has no management direction. When I see things like this, I get worried that our professionals will get booked on flights to Durham, North Carolina rather than Durban, South Africa for their upcoming friendly.

That website is the most accessible voice of their organization, and he laughs and shrugs that its garbage? Is his son paid to do it or something? We're trying to get players like Jon deGuzman to choose us and not even our website is in order?! I wonder if the Dutch FA bothers to take deceased players off their roster or get the sex of their players right on their news releases. It's obvious these guys like Ursini take no pride in their work, they're bums, they'd be fired if they worked for any other company. So so tired of this bvll sh1t.

Not entirely related to this thread (I don't think you can blame the CSA for this), but even those sites covering Canadian soccer can't get things right. Soccernet has us playing Hungary today.

And I don't see us doing all that well, with the roster posted:

I wonder if Martire Lettieri is the striker brother of keeper Tino Lettieri.

Either that line-up up has been flung out of a time-warp from 1986, or the two teams are playing a World Cup 1986 re-match.

When I first saw this I thought maybe my computer was on the fritz, but apparantly Soccernet does have it up. Weird. Why would they even think that there was a friendly?

I remember Martire as an excellent striker, not in the same class as Joey Torchia, but still a pretty good asset for us.

My first thought was a hacker. Too much of a coincidence to have most of the 1986 World Cup team listed. Although where did they get some of those names. Was Paul Dolan's middle name Kenneth? Bob Lenarduzzi was not generally called Robert. And Gerard Gray? And was there a Martire Letteiri or should that have been Martino - Tino for short?

Canada-South Africa match to be broadcast on Rogers Sportsnet

Canada’s men’s national team will face the Republic of South Africa in an international friendly match on Tuesday 20 November at 12.30 ET / 9.30 PT live on Rogers Sportsnet.

“We know that South Africa will be a strong opponent as they build towards hosting the 2010 World Cup,” says head coach Dale Mitchell. “For us it is an opportunity to test ourselves against a different style of play but in conditions we face regularly in CONCACAF. 2007 has been a positive year for the men’s national team and we would like to continue to build momentum towards the qualifying process that begins in 2008.”

The Rogers Sportsnet Soccercentral on-air team of Gerry Dobson and Craig Forrest will supply the commentary and analysis, respectively.

The game is the first-ever match between the two nations and also Canada’s first trip to the African continent in over four years. Canada defeated Libya in Tripoli 4:2 in February 2003.

Canada begins qualifying for FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010 next year. Currently the Canadians sit third among CONCACAF nations, behind México and the United States, in FIFA/Coca-Cola World Rankings.

The game will be played in the city of Durban. The city is one of the host cities for FIFA World Cup South Africa 2010. Durban has played host to some big soccer matches including South Africa’s first post-apartheid international game in 1992, an 0:1 loss to Cameroun.

Well, I guess if Radz is a chick, then this makes perfect sense.
