walkingcity
Hello everyone, i was just wondering if any Quebec City locals could fill me in on the soccer community, im part of a group that are considering Quebec City among other cities for a USL 2 franchise, i know they have a CSL team entering in 08, but do you think the area could support USL 2, whats the soccer interest like, youth soccer teams/programs/leagues, i know of PEPS stadium, what other 5000+ capacity stadia are available? Any contact info for important individuals in the soccer community? I've been up many times times, loved the city, so any info would be greatly appreciated, feel free to reply in french as well, i can understand a good amount. loyola
I don't know if it would be possible to have 2 pro teams in Qc City but If I had to choose I would take USL 2 over CSL. I don't see any other facilities over 5 000 in Quebec to host a soccer game. Important individuals: Samir Ghrib coach of the Rouge et Or (Laval University). Hope this help

hamiltonfan
walkingcity.. im telling you now you'll be walking with alot less money in ur pocket if u start a second semi-pro team in quebec city. the traviling cost for a team in the USL2 is to high, that is why the impact put a team in the CSL not in the USL2. the best thing it do is try to get involved with the CSL team, the more backing for the team the better... something far better could come out of that then starting up another
walkingcity
possibly, although the unique group i'm working with needs to be the defacto owners of the club, but i will contact the CSL team, whenever i can find some information, all i've seen are mentions in press releases and a wikipedia stub
