nazzer
Does anyone know what Mexican teams will be participating? I know that DC, CHivas, Houston and New England will be in because they finished 1-4 in the MLS. Also, does anyone think that the Superliga will be expanded somehow to be similar to the UEFA Champions league to include Central American teams as well, and for this to become officially sanctioned by CONCACAF. Cuz right now it seems as though we have two tournaments competing that are so similar. The CONCACAF champions cup, and the Superliga, except the superliga ius really useless because other than a million bucks there is no incentive, whereas the champions cup has the incentive of a place in the World Club championship. jpg75
Pachuca won the 2007 Clausura final over Club America, so Pachuca is in for sure. Will CA get in as finalist? Santos Laguna are currently in 1st place in the Apertura.

One is a legitimate Champions League featuring the best teams in the various leagues throughout CONCACAF, the other is a pre-season fundraising event featuring a bunch of random teams from two leagues. That may be a bit unfair...this year it was a bit random, but moving forward it should grow. I agree that there shouldn't be a need for this tournament, but CONCACAF has been talking out its ass for years about developing a true champions league. I can see why MLS lost its patience waiting and made its own version.
