Luis_Rancagua
Here's the official name, logo and uniform of the new MLS Seattle franchise. -------------------------------

JamesW
Xbox 360? Besides that I like it. Only problem here is for 2008 we will have two new expansion teams. And based on TFC's past season, the MLS will be greatly watered down because of these 2 new teams.

In fact, these are my biggest concerns. It does appear that the league decided to go ahead with this because they also want to include St-Louis and Philadelphia for 2009. Guest speedmonk42
would like a slightly richer blue, but otherwise it looks great.
Cooks
That's hardly the "official" anything. It's some guy in his mom's basement, fooling around with his graphics program. Quite frankly, I prefer his: Emerald City
RS
Luis, why did you choose that one mock-up (and it IS only a mock-up at this point) as the final product? Here are the others, from http://mlsrumors.blogspot.com/2007/10/expansion-update-seattle-uniform.html : EDIT: Cooks beat me to it.
VPjr
i like that first one....I like the adding the year the club was founded to its name. nice touch.
Luis_Rancagua
From what I was told, according to the designing company, there was a contest with all the other names and the 1st one came out on top as the winner. MLS rumors reported that the club is perhaps expected to play in 2008 of which I have posted the story here at Voyageur.
DarnCherry
No way in hell they'd call the team "Emerald City" anything.
CanadasBest
They should just take the Starbucks logo and change the text at the top and bottom.
SCF08
I think they should use the Name (Seattle Sounder 1974) of the first pic and the Logo and the Shirts of the second. The Green and White shirts in the second pic are classy.
Daniel
Don't include the year in the name, but do put it in the badge. "Seattle Sounders" + *maybe* FC is fine as is.
MegasAlexandros1555362277
I'd say it's ok to put the '74 in the team badge, but not in the name as Daniel stated.
Guest speedmonk42
Yeah, that green and white is pretty slick. First name, second logo, second colors.
Mpenza
Keep the current name and colors. Update the logo (first one is cool).
Guest speedmonk42
Yeah, the first one is cool. But it does look a little starbucksy

Cooks
quote:No way in hell they'd call the team "Emerald City" anything. I know, I was just taking the pi$$. The designs were done by someone who did them of his own accord and offered them to the Seattle MLS. The new ownership hopefulls politely declined. Guest Jeffery S.
I hope Seattle looks as ridiculous and laughable as possible. For me, the worse the better.

Timotas
i think all those designs look awesome i think any of those would arguably be the most appealing designs in the league
Guest Jeffery S.
quote:Originally posted by Jamit Why? Because I hate the Sounders, they have always been a bunch of soft, characterless dandies. For me they are the number one rival of Vancouver and if they fold before Vancouver gets a franchise all the better IMO. The designs look a bit like Werder Bremen, who have the ugliest combination of colours in world football.
Soju
Anyone from Vancouver should hate the Sounders but I personally hope they stay around and struggle so the Whitecaps can trash them a few times in MLS.
DarnCherry
If Vancouver went MLS what would be the point of wanting your biggest rival gone? At least a successful Sounders MLS side would make the Whitecaps want to push for MLS quicker. Then they could get a professional staff to operate the team and not a bunch of guys who spend most of their time reading fans soccer boards pretending to be casual fans defending every move the club makes. Guest speedmonk42
Well as much as you hate them, the rivalry between two MLS teams would be worth much more than having them fold. Taking the bus to Colorado for an away game is a lot less appealing.
