Guest Ed
In midweek Bundesliga 2 action, JBB starts for FC St Pauli vs Rob Friend of Borussia Moenchengladbach. Early minutes 0-0.
Guest Ed
Congrats to JBB. This would rank as his first professional start (he subbed in late 2 games ago).
Guest Ed
BM are all over FC St Pauli, and it just got worse as m/f Boll sees yellow for a shirt pull and then a couple of minutes later grabs a BM player's legs - 2nd Yellow --> down to 10 men. Riesen Rob does the job!!! Borussia Moenchengladbach up 0-1 as he is nicely set up by Njdeng. Three straight games with a goal!!
loyola
Wow, congrats to JBB for his first start. It's pretty impressive for someone who's only 18 yrs old (turning 19 in 2 days...). Let's hope he'll see the field often with the first team this season, that would be great for his development.
Grizzly
JBB is in because one of Pauli's defenders injured himself in training yesterday. Kicker states this game will be decided on how Pauli's emergency defence (a second starting defender is also injured) deals with the recently successful Neuville/Friend duo. A lot of pressure on JBB especially considering he will be defending against Neuville who is a German national team player not your average 2nd BL striker. Guest Ed
Oops. Does Rob have a BLACK SHIRT!!! YC for goal celebrations? Nope, sorry, YC was a couple of minutes after the goal. End of the half!
Guest Ed
Friend is subbed out for the 2nd half. Worries of another yellow? Whatever, good showing again. JBB subbed out mid 2nd half. I'm out.
Grizzly
Bourgault is subbed out in minute 63 after BM goes up 2-0 (on a goal by Rafael who for the second game in a row scores after being subbed in for Friend). Kicker states Bourgault was not up to the task.

Guest Ed
Another big win for Hansa Rostock, 3-1 over Hertha Berlin, knocking BSC out of top 3 and giving HR 6 points in 4 days. Ryan Gyaki not with the senior squad.
Guest Ed
McKenna still out as FC Koeln host SC Freiburg; currently 1-0 for the home team early on. Patrice Bernier in central midfield today for FC Kaiserslautern as they take on SV Wehen from Wiesbaden; still no score.
Guest Ed
Not a stellar day for our Canucks in the Bundesliga 2 today. FC Koeln score first but go down 3-1 to their visitors. Patrice picks up a yellow in an uninspired 2-0 loss to SV Wehen.

Guest Ed
He's only started in the last 4 games. Had a helper in the 1st game and now has scored in 3 straight. He is all over the headlines when it comes to Gladbach.

ag futbol
For anyone who has nothing better to do today (such as me) the Borussia Moenchengladbach game is actually going to be streamed through myp2p.eu (hopefully). Good chance to see friend in club action. Edit: nevermind, someone dropped the stream
loyola
Friend with another goal!!!!!!!!! 2-0 early on for Borussia.
Guest Ed
Friend hits the crossbar in the 8th minute then scores a 'dream' goal in the 15th, chipping the on-rushing keeper. Friend is on fire, scoring in each of the last 4 games. Jonathan Bourgault in at right back for FC St Pauli. Could be a long night for him as they are down a man early and fall behind 1-0 to VfL Osnabruck. Bourgault doing better, winning 4 of 5 tackles and seeing quite a bit of the ball.
