Luis_Rancagua
Guys, if I do recall, Jarrek posted here on Voyageur or perhaps in the old website a picture of a newspaper article about the night when the Blizzard lost the last and final Soccer Bowl 1984. On that picture there is me jumping the police barricades with other nut bars from the H-Block section. Jarrek, if you are out there, please send me that picture or posted here within the thread. I'm begging you in the name of God. It will mean a lot to me. I'm thinking of starting on facebook a memory website dedicating the years of the Toronto Blizzard. That picture comes-in very handy. Please moderator, can you please put a sticky on this thread for the next 6-days.
Grizzly
I remember the post it was on the old board and Luis claimed it was him in the picture. He had a brush cut haircut and jokingly said he was the skinhead in the photo which several posters took literally as meaning he really was a skinhead and started bitching at him about this. Hey here's an idea! If we can positively identify Luis from the photo, we could kidnap him and sell him to Sam's Army. Then he could make lots of postings on their board such as FREDDY ADU IS A 17 YEAR OLD SUPERSTAR, LET'S CAP HIM BEFORE HE TURNS 28 NEXT MONTH!!!!***///???? Then he could show up for every US game but not reveal his presence just to play with his fellow Sam's Army guys heads. In the end he might discover the secret of invisibility and become some sort of invisible man and Hollywood could make a movie about him (which they would never do if he was a Canada supporter). Luis_Rancagua
Listen guys, I'm NOT kidding around. I need this poster ASAP. Unfortunately, I lost my version as a result of a virus that hit my PC last month. The tech department of which I was dealing with wiped-out my whole PC. By the way Griz, I'm already in my 40's. Cheeta
Off the record... No. Looks like a private matter to me. Just e-mail, Jarrek. (But if you want to "bump" the topic every couple of days or so just to keep it current I'm pretty sure I won't move it to a more appropiate section until Friday. Can't speak for the other Moderators of course.)
DarnCherry
Why is it that Luis always gets **** for not revealing who he is or showing up at any gatherings? Is it mandatory that to be taken seriously one has to reveal their presence?

Ya, you'd have to be in your 40's. I'm 45 now so we're in the same age group! When are you going to post a photo of yourself from those days so I can see if I remember you from Section H? db

I remember that guy Bolton on USL discussions wanted to beat the crap out of me. Was offended at my antics at a Whitecaps pre-season friendly. Only thing was it was Blue and White Army he was mistaking me for! I mean hell, I wouldn't show up for gatherings if I was the butt of all the jokes. I remember seeing it when it was posted. Does Reza keep the old site on archive? Perhaps it exists there somewhere. Ya, Gordie Cappolazzo. I saw him a few years back but unfortunately we didn't keep in touch. A good guy. Reminded me a lot of the comic Mike McDonald. db
Niagara Hammer
Luis That looks like a 48th badge ( a bit blurry) Was that your unit? Yours looks like a comms squad badge?.
Luis_Rancagua
Yes!!! I was a member of the 48th Highlanders, but before that I was in communications. In fact, I broke serious racial barriers by becoming the 1st hispanic/latino to become a member of this regiment. I eventually went on to serve in Canada's airborne unit right up to the day that the Canadian government pulled the plug on me. I'm the one 2nd on the far left of the screen, standing at the back of the 1st fellow at the front. That's one of the reason why I wish my privacy to be respected. I kept my name and my identity in complete secret. I don't want the world to know me.

Niagara Hammer
I worked with the SSF a few times, 91 for the bde ex (medics) was the longest stint than back at the battle school for the following 8 weeks. No pictures, I was camera shy. Boy it was a lot of fun, once it was over. Ode to have the knees of a 20 year old again.

Just curious. Redhad, I was officially discharged from the airborne before the Somalia mission. Please try not to ask me for the reasons of my discharge. They are deeply personal of which I can not discuss on any board. Right now I'm part of a forum trying to reinstate the regiment. It does appear that Harper Government are moving into that direction. Certainly, their will be complete changes to the officer corp, the NCOs, and the type of men they recruit. One thing I don't like are these young punks walking the streets with the purple T-shirts of the regiment. My motto: in order to wear that T-shirt you need to earn it.
