loyola
quote:Originally posted by vancanman Brazil too good for Canada? The last time the senior team played Brazil that I can remember was a tune-up for Brazil before winning the World Cup. The final was 1 - 1, and Brazil's goal was scored by the 2-metre offside Romario. Why is it important for our players to play in Europe instead of Ed's Pub FC? To play against the best to get the experience. This is the same thing. last game against Brazil was a 0-0 draw at the 2001 Confederation Cup in Japan. vancanman
Fine, thank you. Another draw. So it seems to me that Brazil don't exactly mow over us.

Richard
The U.S. soccer team will play South American champion Brazil in an exhibition game Sept. 9 in Chicago, replacing a match against Mexico that was called off because of financial problems ... The Brazilians play Mexico in an exhibition Sept. 12 at Foxborough, Mass. There had been rumblings that the they may also play Canada in September but the U.S., match essentially eliminates any chance of that game happening. http://slam.canoe.ca/Slam/Soccer/2007/08/13/4415142-ap.html
