robdiamondpresents
the last heard (but it was a rumor), PEI actually doesnt have anyone entering a challenge cup team for the females. Like I said though, it was a rumor.
argh1
Nothing to do about nuthin' But the NB U-18 Mens/Womens Provincials are being held the same weekend Aug 17-19 as the Provincial Challenge/Jubilee Cups in Moncton as well. I think all games for all groups will be at the six blue-grass pitches at the CN Sportplexe, but I maybe wrong. Championship games for all will be in the Sports Dome in case of inclement weather. Yorktonsoccer
In Saskatchewan, the Yorkton United Impact beat Saskatoon Arsenal with a golden goal in the playoffs of Sask soccer. The final score was 2 - 1. Yorkton also was #1 in the regular season of the Provincial Soccer league. Yorkton will represent Sask in Halifax. Not bad for a team from a city of 16,000 people. Bates
You will notice that Sask finishes their season before July 31 every year which gives the winning team time to transfer any players they may want for Nationals!! Does not seem fair to the other Provinces.

Does not seem fair to the other Provinces. Not true, the transfer deadline is a week before playoffs whenever they are held. I believe it is the CSA rules which state that the transfer deadline is July 31st or 1 week prior to playoffs/tournament etc. whichever is the earliest (I can't find CSA rules though so it may be SSA rule). So the transfer deadline for Sask wasn't July 31st, it was July 21st, 7 days before the playoffs started.
Bates
I wonder how Beno ended up playing for the Regina team in Surrey last year if he did not transfer!!!
