rdroze
In case anyone's interested, and as mentioned in a thread on the Women's Team forum, some more recent financial numbers are now available at the CSA site, covering 2006 and 2005. Not terribly detailed, but it's better than nothing. http://www.canadasoccer.com/eng/docs/2006finance.pdf
sj
its not as much as how much money is needed to run a program as oppose to the content of the program itself when you have a closer look of what has been acheived by our u-20 team after so many training camps and tune up games and residency camp for the WNT both fell short of expectations one has to wonder what goes on in such training camps and residency program whether it is being run to maximise the benefit of every dollar spent to the improvement of the team and marketibility in the long run or the coaches has very little vision and knowledge of how to develop their teams into serious contenters in every tournament. both coaches has been given ample amount of time and enough resources to at least be competitive in every game yet both teams has shown almost the same inept charasteristic and produced uninspired and lame soccer on the pitch. I dont really think that the amount of money allocated to prepare those teams was the main factor for such a poor interpretation of the beautiful game on the field.
