Guest Jeffery S.
Can't wait. Chivas de Gualalajara vs. Pachuca at Dicks Sporting Goods Park is going to be the highlight, what a way to send off the month of July! http://web.mlsnet.com/mls/events/superliga/2007/
Juby
if Toronto FC ends in a good position can they enter the 2nd superliga, cause it seems to be pretty much Mexico vs USA?

Great to have someone on the board from Yellowknife, you must be one of the first. I was sort of joking about this by the way.

Mackenzie
I figure they're not playing in their home stadiums because it's not really a real tournament this year - just a trial run money grab with invited teams which hit certain demographics this year (plus the MLS teams wouldn't stand a chance if they had to play in Mexico). At least next year it's the top 4 MLS teams. Maybe they end up with home and home type group setup down the road if it gets enough interest. Earlier this year I watched the DC United/Chivas and Houston / Pachuca ties in the CONCACAF Champion's Cup and they were actually pretty entertaining games. I figure the MLS teams really are trying to prove something out there when they play the Mexican teams. There's a lot of speculation that the Superliga will end up replacing or at least completely overshadowing the CCC. The Mexican teams can play in Liberatores and this is their preason so they probably won't take it too seriously, but we'll see.

The Pink Taco restaurant chain was looking to buy the naming rights to the University of Pheonix Stadium (before it was named that obviously) so they could name it "Pink Taco Stadium". Rumour has it their searching for another stadium. Sorry, I just had to .
