Guest Jeffery S.
In Norway Lars got scored on by the opposing team's keeper as Aalesund drew with Rosenborg 2-2 in the dying minutes in Bergen, that was tonight. Yesterday Bernier played for Tromso in a loss to Brann, surprised he is still with them, as he needs a holiday before going to Germany I would think. What is up there? No Kenny or Ademolu. Occean assisted on one as Lillestrom won and stayed third in the league, four back of the leaders Stabaek after thirteen games. In the second tier our beloved Felix Brilliant played 60 with Sparta Sarpsborg, who drew at home to KONGSVINGER 2-2. After five games coming in as a sub, he has started the last five and had a goal mid-June. I think he is playing as an attacking mid. The team is third from last but has had some results lately, with Brilliant starting they have three wins a draw and a loss, before that in the first 7 games of the season they only had eked out two draws. Just watched the hightlights and Lars is clearly fouled on the play, easy header for the GK..... I also took a look at all Occean goals this season and I can say that he scored some very nice goals this year. I'm looking forward to see him play with the MNT this fall. sstackho
SPORT FOOTBALL Dodds extends deal 200 words 3 July 2007 The Daily Express 62 English © 2007 Express Newspapers MIDFIELDER Rhian Dodds has agreed a new two-year deal with Kilmarnock. The 27-year-old suffered an injury-disrupted campaign last season, but boss Jim Jefferies sees him as a key player and has extended his current contract which still had 12 months to run. Killie have now tied up their out-of-contract players such as Gary Locke, Allan Johnston, Grant Murray and Paul Di Giacomo, while Garry Hay has been given a new deal and contract talks have begun with Frazer Wright. Jefferies believes Dodds will compete with James Fowler, Johnston and Locke for a berth in the centre of the midfield. The Rugby Park boss said: "We have good competition in the middle of the park and I feel Rhian is a very useful part of the squad. He's raring to go for the start of pre-season." Jefferies is still waiting to see if Gordon Greer will return to Kilmarnock for pre-season training. The defender has been looking for a switch down south and was considering offers from Oldham, Darlington and Rotherham. But he has still to agree a move and could yet be back at Rugby Park. jpg75
Klukowski played the whole 90 as Brugges defeated SK Eernegem 4-0 on Sat. June 30th. http://www.clubbrugge.be/nieuws/nl/?a=nieuws&id=2591 He then started and played the first half in a 3-1 win over Koksijde the next day - Sun. July 1st. http://www.clubbrugge.be/nieuws/nl/?a=nieuws&id=2592 Looks like early in the game he had a chance with a shot "Klukowski kwam clever ingelopen, maar zijn schot ging via thuisdoelman Hans Claeys in corner." Klukowski came clever worn in, but its shot went by means of thuisdoelman Hans Claeys in corner.
Gian-Luca
Wow, is the Belgian league already in pre-season? That might be why Klukowski declined the Gold Cup invite, if he played he would have had absolutely no time off whatsoever.
Grizzly
I think that after an injury plagued season Klukowski may have wanted to have some time off to ensure that he was properly healed going into the new season.

frank
This looks very strange to me. Patrice signed a 3 year contract with Kaiserslautern. He got 3 extra weeks holidays, recovering from GQ and honeymoon. This link says that he played for his norwegian team of Tromso last sunday, July 1st. http://fotball.vg.no/bors/kamp.php?kamp_id=15263 Has anyone any idea what´s all about it?? I posted that and commented on it above. I also found it strange. Perhaps it is a contract question. In any case I don't like seeing these guys not getting time off, you should have a month and really more doing absolutely nothing if you are a pro footballer, if you don't get it you are going to have problems during the season. Especially if you are on a team in a league with no winter break, like Belgium. I wonder if Bruges is playing a later round of Intertoto, that is why they are starting so early....? Saviola7
Brugges qualified for the Uefa cup proper. They don't begin european competition until September 20th.
frank
I contacted the responsibles of FCK, perhaps they can answer. If he gets extra holidays he should use it and not playing for other clubs. Let´s wait how this story ends, I hope we will see him in the shirt of the Red Devils.

If you go the first weekend, you´ll see Hessen Kassel vs VFR Aalen. Aalen finished 6th last season Regionalliga. Might be an interesting game, if I were you, I would go... Yesterday I read on the 1860 homepage that Kent O`Connor left with unknown destination

Yesterday I read on the 1860 homepage that Kent O`Connor left with unknown destination I am in Kassel on August 25th/26th I think, so I see that is the fifth match of the year and its KSV Hessen-SpVgg Unterhaching at 2Pm on the Saturday. Perfect for me, and of course it won't be full and seats won't be expensive, what else could you ask for? A dream match. Anything to say about the fans there, the ambience? The city is pretty boring even with the Documenta at full capacity, even a bit depressed, it just doesn't have much of a spark.

In the case of Bernier, he had 2 or 3 months of last winter, not so long ago, and Germany's winter break is also pretty long so I wouldn't be too worried.
