Ryan's trial was over after two training sessions. Luebeck is looking for a striker not an offensive mid so I am not really sure why they trialed him in the first place. Disappointing to see someone we had such high hopes for trialing for a 4th division team and not a very good 4th division team at that. My Sachsen Leipzig (Chemie for FCH) plays in the same division and could use him as long as he doesn't mind making an MLS entry level salary. http://www.ln-online.de/sport/fussball/vfbluebeck/2533588/VfB-Testspieler%3A_Einer_weg%2C_ein_anderer_da.htm

Indeed, very sad.

I wish him the best for the future.

Clearly Grizzly is not doing a very good job as this kid's agent, so let me have a try:

Q: What ethnicity is Ryan?

A: In spite of the Austrian passport, Gyaki is clearly a Hungarian name.

Q: Where did Ryan play his youth football?

A: Sheffield United

Q: Who is the most historic football club in Hungary?

A: Ferencvaros TC

Q: Who owns Ferencvaros?

A: Sheffield United.

Boom. There you go. Problem solved. Ferencvaros it is. If he can't get a contract there, somebody needs to phone Josef K. Having spent some time in Budapest district IX, I can guarantee you that the locals would *love* this kid and his hard man ways. It's only a matter of time before the club is out of NBII and back in Europe. Though it's easier to promote out of USL-2 than NBII at the moment.

yeah who would want to come MLS, they might follow down that crummy career path that led to nowhere that has been blazed by former MLS players like Altidor (Villareal for 10$ mil), Dempsey ( 6 mil In think to Fulham) and Adu ( Benfica). Better off staying at a resreve team in Europe and try to follow the the same path as Maycoll Canizales.

Not to mention foreign players like Shaun Bartlett and Stern John have parlayed their MLS success into successful careers in England. Both have also played in the world cup as well.

^ Note that I was specifically talking about a young Canuck going to Toronto FC, not MLS in general. TFC has shown no interest in bringing in young Cdns. It's a difft story with some other MLS clubs (RSL as an example).

First sign of Ryan in a long time as he comes on as a late substitute in Hansa's 3:1 win over Hertha 2. They managed to avoid relegation and stay in the Regionalliga Nord next season. No word on Ryan's future with the team.

He actually had a full 90 minutes (to my surprise) two weeks ago.
