LOK and BFC are very bad but also in quite low divisions which is why I probably wouldn't include them in the top 5 hooligan clubs at the moment (I think both would make top 10 though). They both have a significant hooligan following though and in fact their core fanbase is almost exclusively hooligan. What they are lacking in my opinion to put them back into the top 5 is a sizeable number of drunken fans that one gets when one plays in a higher division who are not necessarily hooligans but can be influenced to acts of hooliganism. Plus, they don't face the other hooligan clubs that often in their current division, (when Dresden used to play LOK that turned Leipzig into a war zone). If LOK or BFC promote up they will certainly return to their status as the worst clubs in Germany. Believe me as a Chemie Leipzig fan I hate LOK more than anyone and think they are a disgrace to the image of Leipzig. I was actually at the derby game at the start of the 2nd video and got hit by a flare (this game is at least 5 years ago). LOK also unrolled neo-Nazi banners at this game. I don't think I was ever so happy to win a game as when we won that one and the Chemie fans all shouted Nazis out at the LOK fans. The second game on that video seems to be a meeting of the two teams reserve teams judging by the smaller number of fans and the lack of police and security.

Unfortunatly, the Hansa jersey is ruined by a very ugly sponsor symbol on the front of it.

The West Germans welcome Hansa back to the 1st Bundesliga. Though to be fair to Hansa fans the West Germans are very arrogant and blame all hooliganism on the East when there are probably at least a dozen West German teams they could make the same film about (but wouldn't). Rot-Weiss Essen for example. But here it is anyway and it is funny if you understand German:

Just a quick update on Ryan's progress at Hansa. So far he has played in all three of their exhibition games although only 45 minutes each. But the same goes for the rest of the teammates as the keep 23 players at trainingscamp with the occasional guest player. He also scored one goal in his first game. As the beginning of the season gets closer and the opponents become stronger we should get a better picture of wether he will be included in the first team lineup.

I believe Ryan is wearing # 14 in one of the pictures. He again played 45 minutes on sunday but no word on his performance so far.

Who cares about St.Pauli? I would rather go and see Hansa play 1.FCM,SGD,Union,BFC or FCCZ in the same league then watch them play another game against those overrated Kiezkicker.

According to him there'll be 4 more Canadians in the 1. Bundesliga next year! :)

And McKenna won't be one of them. Out with the old....

From the team pictures it looks like he will be on the 1st team next year and not the reserve team as reported when he signed.

But there appears to be about 28 players in that team photo that he's in, would that not include the players that would play for the reserves?

It seems there are 27 players in the photo. In Germany they are usually pretty exact as to which picture and team a player is in. This doesn't mean that some of the players on the 1st team won't be playing regularly on the reserve team to keep in shape and improve their skills. I would think though that all of the players in the pictures would be considered members of the first team and would train with the first team. If they are not getting any playing time they would play for the reserve team for certain periods of time.

Who is he referring to? People who don't know about, or players in the youth/reserve sides of 1. Bundesliga teams?

Who ascends 2008 into the federal league: 1860. Gladbach, Kaiserslautern

He's predicting all his buddies in the 2.Bund are promoting...apparently McKenna and Koln are the odd men out

Hansa played another exhibition game today. Ryan came on in the 67th.minute as they beat their opponent Greifswalder SV with a score of 1:0. Two more interesting test are coming up shortly. First Hansa will face Banik Ostrava this friday at home and then on july the 29th they are travelling to Prag to play Sparta.
