meteor
And don't forget...he's a tad dirty, and I REALLY like that[8D]. this is the kind of guy you love having on your team and hate when he's on the other side. things are looking good boys
villus
Hume took that game over yesterday. He completely lifted the Canadian team with his tenacity and I was so proud to see that wee man knocking around the much bigger americans. I can see him as a super sub type player for our nats playing maybe 40 mins a game and giving Canada that boost when everyone is starting to fatigue, granted I dont want to say he should be relegated only to a sub role as he has some great quality. Peeters and Hume are going to be the future on the right side and its good to have that depth, although Radz has the spot as of right now.
The Beaver
If we ever went with a 4-4-2, then I'd like to see this: Somebody in goal Stalteri Nsaliwa McKenna Brennan Radzinski Hutch DeGuzman DeRo Friend Hume And we'd have some solid subs, too. thunderguy
Both played for Chingcousy for several years (10-14?)then sometime around the CSA mandated age split (age up date went from August to January or vice versa) one went to Brampton and the other stayed at Ching'... don't recall who moved and who remained but they stayed friends. Daniel
They also played together with the U20's for two cycles from 2000-2003.
The Beaver
And theys bestest friends, too! Loved Hume's smile as he fetched the ball out of the net. That's the smile of a guy who knows he can contribute to this team, and was damned happy to have been given the chance.
BrennanFan
i am not a big fan of hume, but he turned the game around for us and i am glad he finally showed us what he can do. consistency is the key though, dont think we should handing him automatic starter status just yet. amazing goal tho, keep them coming humey. coppercanuck
Hume kept those little pistons pumping and dragged the Canucks up to speed when they looked sluggish. Good on ya Hume! See ya at the WCQ'ers.
Jimmy
Ha ha ha.The commentator doesnt in fact call Hume an asshole. What he says is Golazo! golazo! which means what a great goal. And then he just shortens it to lazo! lazo! lazo! so he is actually praising Hume's goal. I love futbol commentary in Spanish. It is so animated and lively. You can feel the passion. Cheers
BearcatSA
He brings a direct style of play, especially if he's on the right flank: when he replaced Gerba in the Guadeloupe game he made no impact, but if we could have kept Gerba on, then subbed Hume in for Bernier, I believe things may have been much different.
