JamesW
Hey all, Last night me and Cheeta got together through the power of the internet to talk a little football. I would love to get your feedback on this show so if you have any thoughts please post 'em here. Soju
Good idea guys. I liked it, audio was sketchy but listenable. Get a bit drunker and fix the sound, you'll have an interesting show.

jonovision
Listened to it, first one in a while that I've checked out. Too bad about the audio problems, but I thought it was good overall. I'll be tuning in on Sunday to hear your latest.
way2goeh
I have a few comments. Despite the sound, I had only one negatie point about the cast and the questions were too vague. Even I could answer those and im in Brasil with no tv coverage. I also agree about getting drunk too .. The positives: Ok, its not the Howard Stern show but for a canadian living in Brasil, its the only show that I am able to listen to. I try listening to CKNW 98 but on occassion, Bob Lenarduzzi is on the show for less than 10 mins. But Im not able to listen to it all the time...ie: 1am start here. Theres the soccer show in Edmonton, but Ive never been able to hear this show ever. The other soccer programme is world talk radio and those idiots are, well, idiots. If I hear one more thing about N. Ireland, I will go postal. They dont have enough Canadian guests, and if they do, I dont know about since they dont put the guests names on anymore and for some unknown reason, I cant understand the website anymore so I gave up. So hearing your cast is a relief. Im not saying its better than nothing but its great to hear something from someone who cares!! What I would like to see is the games being called for us natives living outside of Canada. I know you were looking into it but since the Costa Rica station is (sort of) calling the games, it wasnt necessary. I prefer the games in Spanish even though I dont speak it. I saw the torrent of the costa rica game and those announcers were a complete joke. They corrected themselves a million times and they tried to speak with a spanish accent. Ok, Im rambling on here, but again, i would prefer your casts than what is available for me. Keep it up, and keep the moosehead pouring down []
fan
Canada does very well considering the poor organization behind them. Pipe and the rest of the CSA have caused a long hangover it will take at least five years to recover from. I like what Colin is doing but it appears to be too little too late. The team and players are individually not bad and some are above average but only two are really international caliber. DD and of course Onstad. Without Onstad this tournament would reveal the low level of our team and prove the FIFA ranking is actually accurate in our case even though it is a shambles in the majority of its ratings. The way our MNT would be able to have a chance of winning at any International level would be a group of Canadian based players playing together for 5 consecutive years from 18 to 25 years of age constantly rotating the players in and out by age. You would allow one or maybe two exceptions as subs not starters. This would all have to be supported by a CSA that is professional and capable of handling the logistics and business acumen to generate revenue. So currently support the men all you can but dont expect too much from them under these conditions and unless the current CSA operators are removed and the system is reorganized it will remain this way. I can at least enjoy watching DD and Onstad and hope that we are lucky enough to find more like them in years to come. Peters and the Newcastle lad Edgar might turn out to be that kind of caliber. JamesW
quote:Originally posted by Soju Did you call Martin Nash Steve? hehe Screw it, I did! Clearly, way2goeh, me calling the games would be a mess.[] The questions were vague because I wanted them to lead into discussions about more specific topics, but I dropped the ball on that one. I can't tell you how nervous I was. Getting drunk would have helped for sure, but seeing as I am not even of age... Thanks all for the feedback, glad to know at least some people enjoyed/hated the show.

RJB
You do a great job Jamit! I love it. You sound too nervous though, you could use a bit of passion. Although I suppose that's what your guests are for. Would love to be on your show [8D]
