amacpher
Is anybody else watching these matches? It's great! Pretty much every afternoon over a two-week stretch has a big game to watch. Lots of attack-minded football too. Yesterday, Bristol Rovers deafeated Lincoln City 5-3 to win 7-4 on aggregate! And the Derby v Southampton semifinal a couple days ago was a real cracker. And Wembley is gonna be a busy place during the next 10 days with 3 big promotion playoff finals (I'm not sure if the Conference promotion game is held at Wembley (?)) and of course the FA Cup final tomorrow. amacpher
The crazy matches continue. Nottingham Forest, taking a 2-goal advantage back home for the second-leg, somehow managed to blow-it today! Frankly, they didn’t deserve to win the first leg 0-2, but looked sure to advance to Wembley when they still held a 3-1 aggregate lead with 10 minutes to play in the second-leg. But as if 2 goals in 5 minutes by Yeovil Town wasn’t enough, Forest managed to get reduced to 10-men in the 90th minute. Yeovil then outscored Forest 2-1 in extra-time, to win 5-4 on aggregate.
