Adidas, which supplies the MLS expansion team, says sales of Toronto FC product is three times higher than any other MLS team launch. Toronto's home opener May 5 against the Kansas City Wizards helped drive that interest, according to Adidas. Steve Ralph, vice-president of sales and marketing for Adidas Canada, said his company expected a good response but "nowhere near" what happened. "We had a pretty good feel of where it would be because we've been a sponsor of the MLS for so long and we'd seen all the other markets, how the product performed," Ralph said in an interview. "But last weekend was just crazy." The first shipment of Toronto FC product hit the stores in February-March. Toronto FC, 0-4 to date this season, also leads the MLS in season ticket sales with 14,000. "This is just more proof that this market is hungry for professional soccer," Ralph said
