I was thinking of La Paz or something too, but maybe it is half altitude that makes such stadiums tough to play in.

Really this site has very dubious lists sometimes, but it is pretty enjoyable overall. I like that list of altitudes of English stadiums, with Grimsby at 2 metres above sea level. Considering high winter seas tend to push up, wouldn't that put them at times below the real level of the sea?

Jeffrey S - I found that list of stadium heights and you are right - lots of those are coastal teams so must be in real danger during the winter months !! I had a look at the site and thought it was really good. Which of their lists did you think were dubious ? Obviously the lists will create debate, as most do, like the Intimidating Stadiums list that was mentioned at the start of this post. Personally I like their "gaffer" lists - some very funny comments.
