DJT
Alen Marcina scored Puerto Rico's first goal and assisted the second as Puerto Rico defeated Rochester 2-1 in the first match of the 2007 USL D1 season on April 13.
marktci
Radz stays on the bench as Fulham lose 1-0 to Reading. Hume plays the whole game for Leicester who lose 2-1 to Norwich. Peters and De Vos both go 90 in the tractor boys' 2-1 win over Derby. Rayner and Torquay draw 1-1 with Peterborough. The lone goal allowed was on a penalty. Simeon Jackson plays 90 for R&D in a 1-0 loss to Kidderminster. Ross Smith goes 90 for Gravesend who lose 4-0 to Southport.

jonovision
quote:Originally posted by Canuck Oranje According to Livescore, R Friend has scored today for Heracles Almelo Is that the first goal for Rob since coming on loan to Almelo? A loss by Feyenoord to Almelo would really get the blood boiling down in Rotterdam.
Canuck Oranje
Re: Rob Friend. Yes, I believe it was his first with Almelo. Also in a backhanded sort of way, it can't hurt Friend's status at Heerenveen that Afonso Alves is scoring like a madman. Three more goals today so far (so 29 in 29 Eredivisie games). There is almost no way that Heerenveen will be able to hold onto him which means a Striker spot opens up for Friend.

I've been nosing around on this one Heereveen forum and they seem to be, like you, thinking that Alves won't be around for next season.
jonovision
In the Heerenveen match, Will Johnson came on in the 71st minute, after all the scoring had been done, as Heerenveen were 3-1 winners over Willem II in Tilburg.
Canuck Oranje
Big wins for both Heerenveen and Almelo. Almelo climbs out of the relegation zone with two games left. Similarly, Heerenveen passes Feyenoord to climb into a Champions League qualification spot.

rednwhite
Half time in RBK-TIL (2-3). Hirschfeld, Bernier and Ademolu from start. So far Bernier has scored twice - both fantastic goals, Ademolu has one assist and Hirschfeld fouled Bernier for a penalty. jpg75
Rob Friend has scored 4 goals against Feyenoord this year. He scored 2 against them with Heerenveen earlier in the year... More fuel for Friend when trying to talk Jonathan into playing for Canada.

With the game tied at 3, Ademolu had a chance to put Tromso back ahead and slid a shot through Hirschfeld's legs only to see it bounce off the post. Grizzly
Good sign to see so many Canadian goals this weekend, Bernier (2), Friend (2), Occean, Simpson, O'Neill. The good thing from a Canadian point of view is that Hirschfeld could not be faulted on either Bernier goal though he was at fault for the penalty on Bernier. If Bernier can take free kicks like that with any consistency maybe he should be taking them for Canada.
Grizzly
Klukowski played 90 as Bruges and Charleroi tie 1-1 with a last minute goal from Bruges. Bruges is currently in a dissappointing 6th place.
Guest Jeffery S.
I did not see Grande for Molde as they beat Moss yesterday, not even in the line-up for the Norwegian club. Aguiar sitting out a suspension as his Gondomar won, keeping their promotion chances a bit less remote. They are six back with five games to go. Julian de G also serving a suspension for Depor, who fall to Galicia rival Celta Vigo 1-0. Will be interesting to see if Caparrós the coach breaks the pattern and has Julian play in the Cup semis this Thursday, home to Sevilla. At least he'd be rested. Enough of not playing players... Atiba played almost the whole game for Copenhagen, yellow m. 87 and subbed out at 90, they beat OB 4-2. With 11 points advantage over the 2nd place side and nine matches to go, they are on track for the league once again. Issey played 90 and seemed to be active as right side mid in a 4-4-2, though Vejle fell to Randers 0-2, second one coming with the home team a man down. Can't find a Horsens report, anyone? They did win, though not sure Gerba played or not. In Sweden Tyler Hughes played the opener vs. Hacken, subbed out m. 90, they lose 1-2. From the stats I see he played 11 games with them last year in top flight.

FC København v OB Odense 4-2 (3-2) 1-0 Ailton Almeida (9) 2-0 Michael Silberbauer (25) 3-0 Hjalte Bo Nørregaard (Pen.) (28) 3-1 Michael Gravgaard (owngoal) (34) 3-2 Bechara Oliveira (35) 4-2 Michael Silberbauer (56) Atiba Hutchinson, FCK (87) Attendance: 26,320 After beating FCM convincingly 4-1 away last week, FCK increased the lead in the top of the table by also beating the other top team in the Superliga OB Odense 4-2 in Parken, and with only 9 rounds left to play, almost everything now has to go wrong for FCK not to secure the Danish Championship. The Brazilian forward Ailton Almeida finally managed to score his first league goal for FCK, but it was a goal worth waiting for since it was an acrobatic and spectacular scissors-kick after Atiba Hutchinson had just hit the woodwork. Atiba also got tripped in the penalty area, just like in Thursday’s cup-tie aganist FCM, but this time no mistake was made from the spot. OB Odense had not lost to FCK in Parken the last five years and unlike FCM, then OB did show the needed class to strike back and be a threat to FCK in a highly entertaining match, where the two teams presented Danish league-football at it’s very best. Still, in the end it was FCK showing that they the do deserve to be 11 points ahead at the top of the table. Highlights : Link or Link 2 --- Esbjerg fB v AC Horsens 0-1 (0-1) 0-1 Henrik H. Guest Jeffery S.
Tyler Rosenlund did not get on the pitch today as Atvidabergs lost away in the season opener to Norkopping, 1-0. Good to see at least he was on the bench. I see the club was Swedish champ and Cup winner in the early 70s, their glory years.
