All-Star squads are announced

The soccer squads for an All Star Game between the Super League's locals and foreigners on April 4 in Thessaloniki were named yesterday. The game will be held at Kaftantzoglio Stadium in honor of Theodore Zagorakis, the Euro 2004 MVP.

Selections for the ceremonial game were based on votes cast by fans. Panathinaikos's Sotiris Ninis, not yet 17, was included. A total of 49,960 votes were submitted, officials said. The teams will be led by two coaches each, who picked two players each.

The locals will be coached by Larissa's Giorgos Donis and Nikos Karageorgiou of Ergotelis. The foreigners will be led by AEK's Lorenzo Serra Ferrer and Panathinaikos's Victor Munoz. The coaches where allowed to select two additional players for their teams.

The local players' team consists of:

* Goalkeepers: Nikopolidis (Olympiakos), Sifakis (OFI), Chalkias (Aris), Kotsolis (Larissa)

* Defense: Torosidis, Anatolakis (Olympiakos), A. Papadopoulos (Aris), Arabatzis (PAOK), Antzas (SKODA Xanthi)

* Midfield: Ninis, Tziolis (Panathinaikos), Stoltidis (Olympiakos), Eliadis (PAOK), Zikos (AEK)

* Offense: Salpiggidis, Mantzios (Panathinaikos), Liberopoulos (AEK), Aloneftis (Larissa)

The foreign players' team consists of:
