However, how do Canadians fare when it comes to public interest for domestic soccer? The first point will more than likely be confirmed by the attendance figures of the WYC later this year, and how they compared to previous editions of this tournaments held elsewhere. The second point will be harder to determine. In recent years, the CSA has announced numbers of registered soccer players in Canada that supposedly exceed those of hockey in this country. Assuming these numbers are accurate, has the CSA placed enough emphasis on enhancing Canadian public interest in the domestic game?
