Phil_Ipswich
Thought this would be of interest. Jaime has been in the side regularly for the last month and has been starting to show that he's settling into English football despite Town not playing that well. http://ipswichtown.rivals.net/default.asp?sid=911&p=2&stid=8438376 Phil
Free kick
I have to wonder, after about a year and half, why does Peters only now gets playing time and why there is only now a desire to keep him. Could it be that sudden desire to keep Peters has everything to do with leveraging up his value in the transfer market to TFC? If so, here is reason number 1674 why we need to keep young players here to develop.

JamesW
quote:Originally posted by Phil_Ipswich Town not playing that well. That is not fair. They played great against Stoke City way back when and should have got two goals against Palace before they went down 1-0. I did not listen to their last game against Leicester City, so they may have played bad versus them. But that is just one game. They are not playing amazing, but not bad... Also they have been playing injured. Any idea when De Vos will be back? You would know better then me. But I still dont have a reason why the sudden interest in a guy that they've had for a fairly long time and by the looks of it had written him off. Phil_Ipswich
The Stoke game was a decent rearguard performance and a good point won, but Palace aside from the first half hour or so was pretty poor, as was Leicester. Peters has been a bit in and out of the side this season. He started off OK, drifted out of the picture, returned, faded away and came back again after Christmas and has looked more dangerous. Was the only player to come out of Saturday with any credit. His reappearance is partly due to a few injuries, partly as he'd done well in the reserves. There could also be an element of making sure he gets games under his belt ahead of a work permit tribunal. De Vos might be back at Watford on Saturday, but more likely the following Tuesday against Wolves or the next Saturday. Having an x-ray on his cracked metatarsal at some point this week. Desigol
Hopefuly Peters can be a regular. If not, then he should join TFC.
