This won't effect the lesser footballing nations much as they weren't qualifying anyway (though Bahrain were on the fringe which would've been interesting). Who this does screw is China but I have no sympathy for their national team. They are all highly paid highly recognized superstars in their own country, which pours lots of money into its program and year after year fails to see results.
