"Tryouts will be on Astroturf and therefore players will have to have appropriate foot attire"

Well, they screwed up pretty quickly. No fieldturf available?

You'd figure that this would be an ideal opportunity for publicity had they been held at the new stadium.

120 bux aside, it is still going to be a freak show.

Might be worth getting some of the more colorful ones on camera.

Soju can fill you in on lots of players who think they should be playing for Canada..... LOL!

One (at the time) strange thing I noticed in the release is that the tryouts were open to those 14 and over, now with the announcement that all MLS teams must have a developement program it makes sense.

" The MLS youth programs will meet a number of standards, including:

The program will be based in the team's "Home Territory" approved by the MLS Board of Governors. (All of Canada for Toronto?)

Each team will be allowed one team of up to 18 players in each of the following age groups on its Home Grown Player List:

Under-25, U20, U18, U16, U15, U14.

Will the teams play in the USL Super Y? (Competition for the Lynx)

Do teams have Super-Y territorial rights?

DC United and Red Bull New York and several USL Div 1&2, PDL and W-league clubs already have extensive Super Y programs.

If PLF Tom tries outfor TFC, could someone at least ask for our scarves? It's getting pretty chilly these days!

Considering that none of us have seen Tom since July, I highly doubt he'll be going to the tryouts.
