jonovision
Will Johnson again played 90 minutes for Heerenveen reserves, who lead the reserve competition in Holland, in a 2-0 win over 2nd place RKC Waalwijk. Johnson played in the centre midfield spot of a 4-3-3 alignment, and was again involved in setting up both goals. http://www.sc-heerenveen.nl/web/show/id=42457/contentid=4083 Because of the reserve team's success, a lot of the fans (http://sc.heerenveen.org/forum) have been clamouring for some of the reserve players, including Johnson and the nearly unpronounceable Ghoochannejhad to get a look with the big squad. ubuntu
De Guzman play for Depor in the Copa del Rey, they lost 1-0, but they win on penalty, Munua stop three shots. Julian played for the first time this season. Some people think he will leave the team during the winter market. --quote-- The second player in the list is Julián de Guzmán. The Canadian international returned injured from a match with his national team, and this excuse has been used to explain his absence from the list of called players. But now he is ready to play and it seems difficult that he could 'steal' a place from Sergio, Coloccini or Juan Rodríguez. Newspaper La Opinión even thinks that the Canadian could be preparing his return to the Bundesliga. However, it has been know that De Guzmán would start in the copa match with Racing Santander. It could be his last opportunity to fight for a place in the team. Curiously, Caparrós said a few months ago that De Guzmán will be an important player in the squad, but the Sevillan trainer hasn't used him until now- --quote-- http://www.deportivo-la-coruna.com/news.php
Guest Ed
Thanks for the update on Julian. It will be interesting to see if he does in fact go somewhere else. I am sure he is dying to play somewhere; I thought he had come along nicely last season with Depor but for unknown reasons is not getting much of a chance this season. I will keep my ear out for rumours with Bundesliga teams.
Grizzly
Hannover would take him back in a heartbeat though I am not sure this would be the best choice as they look to be bound for the 2nd BL. I would think some of the upper mid table teams would be very interested in him.

As it seems clear that Duscher wants out and since they dumped Acuña, saying he was unfit to play, they may indeed keep him as they'll have one less player in the middle to chose from. But as long as they stay up in an UEFA spot it will be tough to break in the lineup.
Metro
Tam Nsaliwa played his usual 90 minutes today as Panionios defeated Paniliakos 2-1 away to advance to the 5th Round of the Greek Cup.
Guest Ed
Thanks to Metro for the Tam posts. Please keep them coming. I can read mathematics formulae but my Greek literacy ends right there.
