They seemed to be the best team in Portugal before the Greeks suprised them with seconds to go before penalties. Euro 04 Qualifying: 7-1-0 23:5 Euro 04: 4-0-1 10:5 WCQ 06: 11-0-3 37:12 Official competition 04-06: 22-1-4 70:22 And Holland was in both qualifying groups. And Holland was in both qualifying groups. Actually Holland is a good measure to illustrate how much Czech Republic have faded in the past 4 years. No doubt they were strong in 2004. Remember the game against Holland? Best of the tourney. Czechs were probably the best team in Euro2004. They played Holland a few months later in qualifying, and weren't as good but they were somewhat unlucky to lose. In their return match against Holland in Prague in late 2005 they were beating easily. Romania also beat them without much problem in 2005. Throw in the Ghana game and you see there is a big difference b/w Czech 2004 and Czech 2006. See, if the Czechs had lost Koller in 2004 they wouldn't have missed a beat.
