Calgary Boomer Posted September 28, 2006 Share Posted September 28, 2006 I had read recently that CBC has bought the rights to the World Cup and the U20 championships, meaning Sportsnet's Gerry Dobson and Craig Forrest may not be calling the games next summer, or into the future. WC qualifying would fall under the CSA broadcasting contract while CBC has snatched up the FIFA rights. A lot of people think it is a matter of time before the CSA moves to CBC, but as of now they are still with Sportsnet.
