Grizzly
That pin to the foot really worked! Hargreaves suffers suspected broken foot BIELEFELD, Germany (AP) - Canadian-born midfielder Owen Hargreaves suffered a suspected broken left foot in Bayern Munich's 2-1 Bundesliga loss to Arminia Bielefeld on Saturday. The Calgary-raised Hargreaves was forced from the match after 25 minutes following a hard challenge from Bielefeld's Thorben Marx. "There is the suspicion he has a broken fibula - we won't know more until after the examination," Bayern coach Felix Magath said. Hargreaves, 25, was scheduled to have x-rays taken later Saturday in Munich.

KAS
According to football365, the x-rays have been taken and the injury was confirmed by the Whore himself on his personal website (www.owenhargreaves.de - I've never looked at it though). It is a broken left fibula. With Ballack gone, Bayern is going to be hurting in midfield for the next little while - especially in CL. It also gives other English midfielders a chance to impress McClaren for the next few Euro qualifiers.

Grizzly
Calgary-born midfielder Owen Hargreaves leaves the pitch after he broke his left leg in a match on Saturday. (AP/Frank Augstein) X-rays confirm broken leg Hargreaves had injury during Saturday match BERLIN (CP) - Calgary-born midfielder Owen Hargreaves broke his left leg in Bayern Munich's 2-1 loss to Armenia Bielefeld in the Bundesliga. The 25-year-old England international was taken off in Saturday's game and went to a clinic for tests. "I was X-rayed there and it confirmed there was a break in the left fibula," Hargreaves said on his website. Hargreaves, whom Manchester United tried to sign over the off-season, will be in plaster for at least three weeks. "Then we'll have to see how the healing process goes," he said. The injury comes at a time when Hargreaves was in top form. He was one of the bright spots for England at the World Cup this summer and was named man of the match in Bayern's Champions League game against Spartak Moscow earlier this week. "This is part of football," he said. "Sometimes you are flying high and all of a sudden you are down again."
