matthew
There is a discussion of Jaime Peters being away from Ipswich from August 26 until September 7 for a U20 camp that will feature a pair of games against Belgium in Belgium, Sept 2 and 4. Both ofwhich are international dates. This is totally unconfirmed, but I figure I would throw the rumour out there since it makes some sense. cheers, matthew
loyola
After the USA games in July I remember reading on this board that the next U-20's event would be a camp in Belgium, so that would be it. That mean that guys like Peeters and Johnson won't be part of the squad against Jamaica.
Daniel
It good that there's a U20 camp, too bad we won't see them in Montreal, though. Ipswich seem to be very accomodating.
RS
quote:Originally posted by Daniel Ipswich seem to be very accomodating. Well it is an international date, so if Peters really wants to go, they can't technically stop him. Of course, they could punish him upon his return... Daniel
Ipswich have let Peters go for everytime he was called to date, for the U20s and seniors.

Yeah, they have been very good about that. The manager must see the value of international experience over missing a Colaship game or two.

While they have been good, did they not release him for the Brazil games on the condition that he'd skip the US game in Toronto? I'm pretty sure it was him. Either way though, they've been pretty good.

matthew
Peters is only missing a testimonial this time around. cheers, matthew
El Hombre
quote:Originally posted by Daniel Didn't all the euros miss the US game? Yeah, they all did. I was just mentioning the fact that I'm pretty sure Ipswich asked him to be left out of that squad so that he could get a full preseason in. Made no difference either way. No big deal, just saying... Daniel
Yeah, but they've been much better than, say, Fenwick when he was at Hibernian or Lars with his teams.

There is a good chance I'd go to one or both ...
