it'll be interesting to see how MLSE lives with any headlines.

Except: Team moves to Montreal due to lack of real interest from the 4.6 million people living within a 100KM radus of Pogey park.

Drew Murray is technical consultant

TUESDAY MARCH 14, 2006 (Toronto, CANADA) The Toronto Lady Lynx announced today that Danny Stewart will assume the position of head coach in 2006. Stewart has extensive coaching experience at all levels in Ontario and also within the Toronto Lynx Juniors Program. As a senior director of the Toronto Lynx Premier Soccer Academy, he works closely with Lynx head coach Duncan Wilde to deliver top notch soccer programming and the Lynx Super Y League Program. His 2001, the U15 female team which claimed the national crown included Lady Lynx players Amanda Cicchini, Deana Everett and Robin Rushton. His philosophy has always included hard work and tenacity which he expects to bring to his role with the Lady Lynx. “We will succeed because we will not concede”, said Murray when reached for comment.

Stewart is excited about having Murray on board as a consultant this season. “I’m very excited about teaming up with Drew Murray as we look to put together our 2006 line-up” he said. “Drew is very respected throughout the entire women’s network and he will be a great asset to the Lady Lynx as we concentrate on building on the success of 2005. There is terrific potential out there and we are very much looking forward to the challenges ahead of us.”

The Lady Lynx begin their second season on May 13th when they host the Rochester Rhinos at 1:00 PM at Centennial Park Stadium. This game will be part of a Soccerfest doubleheader, with the Toronto Lynx men taking on the Rochester Raging Rhinos at 4:00 PM, following the Lady Lynx match.
