This weeks Update Podcast takes a closer look at the Vancouver Whitecaps through conversation with Director of Soccer Operations, Bobby Lenarduzzi and Goalkeeper Director Mike Toshack. Lenarduzzi has over thirty year’s involvement with the Whitecaps in many capacities from playing to coaching to management. He talks about where the club has been and where it is headed in the near future. Toshack has worked for the Canadian Olympic program, the Montreal Impact, Massachusetts Premier Soccer (the Boston Renegades / Bulldogs) over the years and talks about what it means to work for an organization like the Whitecaps. This week the regular live broadcast Of CanadaKicks Radio features conversation with guests Dick Bates, the technical director of the Canadian Soccer Association and Even Pellerud, head coach of Canada’s National Women’s Team. Bates joined the CSA from the English FA and is recognized as one of the best educators in the game today. Pellerud’s success with Norway (1995 World Cup Champions) and with Canada (a surprise fourth place finish at the 2003 World Cup) makes him one of the most respected coaches in the world of women’s soccer.
