U20 MNT off to Portugal

Well its good to hear but not entirely un-expected. A Canadian U20 team that performs as well as the U17 did in 1987 will be an embarassment to the country and Canadian soccer, and even the CSA must realize that they have to put money into the team. Especially as there are no qualifiers we will be playing either so we have a lot of extra games to make up.

Yes, great preparation for this team who more than one year before the tournament starts will already have played against Portugal, China, Norway and Brazil (3 times). I think it's great plus the development team will play Scotland at the same time. So it means that all our players in our U-20 players pool will be playing quality games and have a chance to get notice by the coaching staff.

The Canadian U20 development will be based out of Banffshire (I think) which is in the Scottish Highlands on the North Sea. It is so tempting to go - I can get a return train ticket for 50 pounds. I've only been as far north as Aberdeen and I've always wanted to go to the Highlands. My second essay is due the following week so I'll have to get it done before. :)

The Canadian U17 team will also be playing at the Ballymena (wrong spelling) tournament during April.

Ballymena, Junkie Heaven. ;)

Ironicaly,, I bought the best of the Velvet Underground in Ballymena.
