Afterwards some of these crazies may actually attend the game with you once they realize this is a communist era restaurant and not a real UFO. Grizzly Posted January 8, 2006 Share Posted January 8, 2006 For anyone wanting something a little nicer than a hostel in Vienna without breaking the bank, I would recommend Hotel Post http://www.hotel-post-wien.at/index.html.en. This is a nice 3 star hotel located right downtown 5 minutes walk from the Cathedral. It has a bit of history too in that, "Mozart, Josef Haydn, Richard Wagner, Leos Janacek and Friedrich Nietzsche used to lodge there." I have stayed there a few times and it is very nice and the best bargain downtown. The cheaper rooms without washroom are 38 to 47 Euro and are small but very clean. The hall washrooms are also very clean and as there are not that many of these rooms are not used by very many guests. The better rooms with washrooms are 67 to 79 Euro.
