Would be interesting to know where the interest is coming from, and I'm sure we'll find out shortly after this weekend's game.
Luis_Rancagua
Too bad that Friend is planning to leave the club. I do remember that at the start of the season, he was plagued with injuries. Fortunately, he managed to regain his strength, physical and tactics. This was perhaps the decisive factor why Molde managed to win the Norwegian Championship. Luis_Rancagua
Here's another article on Rob Friend: Friend lover å score Av Sturla Johannessen 18.11.05 20:21 Molde-spissen Rob Friend lover å sette ballen bak Per Morten Kristiansen i Moss-buret i lørdagens returkamp.
Winnipeg Fury
Ironic that Friend is now battling his old club Moss FK, for Premier action next season. I suspect Friend is waiting to see if Molde can stay up, before deciding on any move.
Luis_Rancagua
It now appears that Rob Friend will probably be staying with Molde after all as his club trashed Moss 2-0 to gain status in the Norwegian Premiership.
mjoni
Well, here comes the first offer... Vålerenga (Norwegian champions) have been given permission by Molde to speak with Rob. Molde is said to be asking 10 million NOK (1.75 million CAD). Vålerenga's trainer says the following: Friend is younger, tough and strong. He's also good with his head. This is important for us, because we most often play teams that hang back. It's good to have to have a tall, strong forward that can break through and create chances for others in the box. (Friend is considered as a replacement for Steffen Iversen.) http://fotball.aftenposten.no/nyhetsarkiv/article.jhtml?articleID=89827

Jason
quote:Originally posted by Daniel What's with all the stars we're popping out for Scandinavian teams? And the next question is who will be next? You would think that Norwegian clubs would be flocking to see who is the next player they can bring across the ocean. How about Adam Braz, Kevin Harmse, or Sita-Taty Matondo who have all tried and not succeeded in Scandanavia previously? They've got a bit more experience now. Or maybe Alim Karim or Liam Girard can take a page from Ademolu's book and make the leap from the NCAA after they graduate this spring. Luis_Rancagua
Daniel
Braz was relatively successful but the Swedish second-tier didn't really interest him much. Some players with Haugesaund are at around the same level.

According to national television the cupwinners demand atleast 10 million NOK for the canadian. - we've been given permission to talk to the player. He's a young, solid attacker with great airial prowes. We usually play teams that dig themselves in infront of their own goal, ande it would be useful with a powerful player to create room for others, says VIF-Coach Kjetil Rekdal.
