It now seems as if Bernier didn't score the first goal, but Tromso win anyway, 3-1. Bernier and Lars go the whole 90 minutes for the winners, while Ademolu enters in the 71st minute, just prior to the 3rd goal for Tromso, which was scored on a penalty.

Patrice came close, but was stopped.

A couple of loans that will give some Canucks even more competition for places:

Derby sign Boro striker on loan. Derby have signed Middlesbrough striker Danny Graham on a one-month loan as Phil Brown's side look to climb away from the Championship relegation zone. The 20-year-old will go straight into manager Brown's squad for the trip to Brighton on Saturday. Graham has scored one goal in 18 appearances for Boro but has made only one start for the Premiership club. While on loan at Darlington last season, he scored two goals in nine outings for the League Two club.

Millwall have signed central defender Zak Whitbread on loan from Liverpool. The initial deal runs until 3 January and the Championship side are hopeful the move will be extended until the end of the season. Whitbread, 21, made his Reds debut at Millwall last season in their Carling Cup victory and helped the Anfield side to the final of the competition. He has made three appearances for Liverpool this season and has moved to gain more first-team football.

That is a good point, I hadn't thought of it. Are players tied in UEFA as well? If they are that does take a bit out of the early season at Rosenborg, as he watches his new teammates in at least one home and away, and can't even dress.

After the successfull match last night, Tromsø is still competng for a spot in the knock-out stage next year. Lars Hirschfeld, who transfers to Rosenborg January 1, today says that if Tromsø advances he wants to be loaned back, so that he can finish the UEFA Cup with Tromsø. "I can't play for Rosenborg anyway", he says.

The way the UEFA groups are going Tromso has gotten back into it, though they probably will need to win on the last day as well.

Viking is still in the fight as well.

Paok have it tougher, even winning their last two matches they can't be sure of being in the top three, will depend on their goals against and other results. They really needed to at least hang on to a tie to take points from Stuttgart as well.

I actually think that it is very nice for Lars to want to continue with Tromso, but buddy, you sign with a new team and you play with them. Let your former club prepare for a new season with a new keeper, and get on with your new life outside of European competition.

Sorry to say that some fans are indeed blaming Fernandes on the tying goal in the Paok-Stuttgart game, though they also say the penalty call for the 1-2 was correct, as was the following red card. So there was not only Daniel's apparent lack of concentration on that long shot, but the defenders were not in it in the minutes afterwards.

Having said this, GK fans also mention that all their teams gave up inexplicable late goals this week, that in general the level has fallen off after the EuroCup. Perhaps that is understandable, after such a high and ego boost.

Hampton & Richmond Borough 0-3 Fisher Athletic

Elliott Godfrey played the entire match and Jon Henry-Hayden entered the contest as a sub in the 77th minute. Henry-Hayden appeared in a photo in the Friday 25 November edition of the Non-League Paper.

From the Hampton forum: Typical of Hampton`s luck on the night was Elliott Godfrey`s fierce shot that was headed off the line with keeper Simon Overland well beaten.

And from the Non-League Paper: Hampton's best effort was an Elliott Godfrey shot that was cleared off the line with goalkeeper Simon Overland well beaten.
