CanadianSoccerFan
What about Wigan... who would've expected this? This was the one team everybody picked for relegation. Do you think DeVos might be kicking himself a little?
Blue and White Army
I picked them to stay up. They did win the Championship, after all....

This was the one team everybody picked for relegation. Do you think DeVos might be kicking himself a little? Wigan treated him like crap, which is a reason to hate them. Also, they are more a rugby team than a football team (okay, a dumb reason to dislike them, sorry). Enough ranting. They only offered De Vos a year contract the year he jumped to Ipswich, and he was the team captain. Very poor, considering he was not that old. He simply could not accept that, as it would have left him high and dry in 12 months.
Cheeta
Seems like there's a surprise club every season and this year it's Wigan. Last year it was Everton. Next year it'll be who knows? The crash is coming though. It could rapidly become a very long winter for them if their luck runs out. And it is going to run out. But in the mean time, what a start! Wow. As to JDV, I dought if he gives it anything more than a very passing thought. P.S. Oh, and almost forgot. Ipswich and Leicester will both come around yet and at least get there chance to fight for promotion (or at least I hope so). Millwall on the other hand? Oy. canso
Maybe Wigan would have dumped DeVos after being promoted, and maybe not. Maybe he wanted to stay, maybe he didn't. Guarantee he wants to play at least one season in the top flight before they put him out to pasture. Sure would have been good to see him in the Prem. argh1
It is refreshing to see Wigan, Hot Spurs, Citizens, Bolton, and Addicks rounding out the top six and I hope a couple of these stick. But as we move into November I wonder how much longer before ManUre, Newcastle, Gunners and Reds keep up the poor form. Liverpool currently look bad but they do have two games in hand and Magpies are much improved over last year. I hope we get a wholesale change at the top......except that Chelski are undeafted. But some how some way I fear one of the early starters may stay but in the end it will be the same old same old in the EPL. If I was a betting man, as much as I'd love to see Diesel succeed, I think Man City will eventually be the surprise of the EPL.
CanadianSoccerFan
It's awesome to think of how many Wigan residents who've been on the Man Utd bandwagon for years and are now looking up at Wigan in the table while Man Utd are on the verge of shambles. The loyal Wigan fans who've stuck it out for years must be loving the bragging rights

Leafs
This is good to see. I for one am sick of the same sides, the ones with money allways being on top. Great that Wigan is doing so well. A few more loses by Chelsea and the fight for the EPL will be on again. It really sucks when one team runs away from the others. Go Wigan.

You could even see some money getting spent in January to strengthen the team. I wouldn't bet against them falling away. Oh and I seen De Vos against Ujpest at the start of the season and unfortunately he ain't good enough, which is a shame as I do like him.
