Even if the CSA has to be baby sat and have some one hold their hand the whole way I hope for the fans sake this gets resolved quickly and concludes in us getting a stadium in Toronto. Free kick
There is a special report ( an entire pull out section titled Aerospace) in todays Globe and Mail that I would highly recommend for reading for anyone like 'fan' or anyone else who thinks that the aerospece inductry is not important to Canada. Its very likely the most important industry in canada. basically: 1) it employs 75000 people DIRECTLY 2) its active in over 400 communities from Nfld to BC 3) Generates $22B in annual revenues 4) exports 85% of all ite products and service 5) Utilizes highly skilled workers 6) Creates high value R&D driven products 7) Leverages advance design and manufacturing capabilities 8) Competes with the world best. There are no other industries in canada that you can say those things about. As far as Bombardier, they are central and the key component to the whole industry in canada. In fact, you might say that if you asked anyone around the globe to name one or more canadian companies, Bombardier might be the only one that most can name. I don't think that you can say that about the oil industry in canada.

I don't think that you can say that about the oil industry in canada. I never questioned the importance of the industry. I gave my opinion (even stated it as an opinion) that it is innapropriate for companies receiving government support/subsidies to turn around and use that money to buy naming rights...that is all I said...nothing more. DJT
We have a new thread on a Toronto stadium so we don't need this old one anymore. Besides, the topic was lost a long time ago. If you want to talk about this non-soccer stuff, please use the OT section.
