Former Champ
My UEFA Champ League pool is a go! This year I promise to use a calculator (sorry Lucy and Daniel    ) and not do the calculating on a bus. I wasn't gonna have it, because I thought I had lost my USL Pool info in my last cpu crash. No one would want to play if that pool just disolved, but I found all the predictions, so a final tally will appear in a couple weeks. UEFA POOL!!! Same rules as last year! (edit*- we are starting earlier this year so scoring will be different) See link below, but all you need to do right now is pick the 16 teams to go through to the next round. Just post em in this or your local forum (send me the addy) and you are automatically entered. Nothing besides your chat name is required! GO! I haven't picked a deadline but I'll give everyone a couple weeks notice and you can edit you picks until the deadline (I started late last year) http://www.canadian-soccer.com/forum/topic.asp?TOPIC_ID=5721
Former Champ
Once again in exchange for a sticky, the Rev. Kjersti (the cat who helps people) offers another public service announcement. This time in the form of a letter she received from her church... "Matthew 27:46 And about the ninth hour Jesus cried with a loud voice, saying, Eli, Eli, lama sabachthani? That is to say, My God, my God, why hast thou forsaken me? How many today in the Gulf States are shouting this out and wondering why they are forgotten? What can we do to help??? You are seeing the devastation of Katrina across the News and we ask what are we doing to help these Brothers and Sisters that need us now more than any other time in their lives? We can not all rush down to offer support as we would make the situation even worse. Many have already donated to various Relief Funds, but are we truly doing the best we can in this hour of greatest need of our Brethren in faith? Can we not do that little bit more to support the masses awash in the floods of Katrina? We asked this of ourselves over the last few days and decided we MUST as a church and Denomination of Faith seek to offer more./p> We are not a registered charity with the Government and as such can not advertise to simply collect monies for support funds. The Universal Ministries is a Privately Held Association still growing toward the day that allows us to be greater in service to the world in actions as well as faith. What we can do however is offer a Badge of our support of those in need. Click Here to see the Badge We can accept donations for the Badge and place that money in the hands of Services that are on the Front Lines of the disaster now. We can provide a means to awaken others through our showing of our support, wearing our Badges for all to see and bringing even more aid to those that need it now. All Profits from this program will be sent to the aid of those in need! There will be no profits from this offering go to any other Church fund as this is for the relief of others, and we will as in other times make notice of how and where we send that which you provide through the online services of the UM site. I ask you not as the Head of the Church, but as a brother of each of you to reach deeper and help us to help others in Faith. Give your support that we may contribute on behalf of all UM members to giving the much-needed aid to these poor folks now and over the months to come. This will not go away tomorrow with the next News story. This is life and death to Thousands and if we are truly the servants we claim to be in faith, we must stand up and make our statement of such in a manner that most serves. Help us here at the Universal Ministries to share forward the blessings of Faith now. We ask a minimum donation commitment of $10.00 per Badge and invite you to request as many as you can afford. Please tell your friends, family and congregations to do the same. Thank You Rev. D.E. Hickman, DM, OSD www.UniversalMinistries.com"

Former Champ
Thanks to everyone who entered. Still room for lots more. Deadline is up to kickoffs on Tuesday. Many entries disappeared along with the septic Southsider forum a week or so ago, so I'm rather unimpressed. Hope they show up again. Don't forget to watch out for round 2 before the knockout stage! I've been partly busy and partly pouting at all the entries that I lost on the septic SS. Go ahead and make your picks for the next round. The rules are somewhere in this thread. I'll add up the first round scores when I get a chance. Thanks Dave! I been looking for this damn thing in the wrong forum[:I].
