beachesl
quote:Originally posted by Rudi Why is he called 'Javier' when his name is Jonathan? Probably his official first name that has to be used on official documents (like formal Dutch Association reports). Most Filipino-background people have traditional Catholic first names officially, and many of them adopt more modern western names for everday usage(like Jonathan) because they don't sound as strange to most peoples' ears. Not unlike the large number of Chinese and Korean people who have seocond western names that they use for English classes or international business. That's not necessarily true. It's probably just a nickname. And I share the same background as the de Guzmans.
