MM2
I know that the Women's teams don't get much action here, however with Gobigred being down, I'll post the result here. The Fury dominated play taking a 5-0 victory over the Lynx. Toronto was without Everett, VanBoxmeer, Cicchini and Booth. This win moves Ottawa closer to a playoff spot. Though they will get blown out by New Jersey Wildcats unless they improve their ball control. Attendance 400-500? The Toronto goalie, playing her first W-league game made every shot (especially in the first half) an adventure. She looked a bit more solid in the second. Rocket Robin
Well it's not Women's National team news so I'd say put it here. Hey the Lady Lynx have a record of 7-2 which is better than the men's Lynx team in reverse. The Lady Lynx goaltender was Anne Ogundule from the Lynx report they sent me. I remember her from the Toronto Inferno days. Good games and bad games. I thought the Lady Lynx schedule was a lot softer this year with only the Ottawa team being any good in this small five team North Conference and only three games against the better Eastern Conference teams. From last year's Inferno 3-11 record and Sudbury's 1-13 record I can see why they put these sad sack teams against each other four times besides the geography and kept the W-League semi-finalist Fury to only meet them twice.
