Justin Thompson no longer seems to be with Virginia Beach.

Meanwhile, the Mariners' website lists Canadian Roy Remi as their player/coach:

Mariner assistant coach Remi Roy has also been added to the roster as the third goalkeeper. Roy, who was an All-American at the University of Mobile, came to the Mariners in 2003 from the Syracuse Salty Dogs where is was a player/coach.

Addition:

Kitchener-native Jon Henry-Hayden has officially signed for English club Hampton & Richmond Borough (Ryman Isthmian League Premier Division) (7). He joins fellow Canadian Elliott Godfrey at the club.

I'll send an email to the Kitchener and Waterloo Record about it, in case they might want to run something.

Mika hasn't been released(just took his little paragraph off the pen pics), he is unhappy at Bashley and being looked at by other Ryman calibre clubs in the Southampton area. He is busy with a football studies course at Southampton University, which should be done in 2 years time, by then expect Mika to playing in the conference level at least.

Update Mika has signed for Bashley again, lazy bastard couldn't find another team.

Don't recall seeing this anywhere

Canadian under-23 international goalkeeper Rayner joined the Imps (Lincoln City) from Welsh Premier League side Port Talbot on a one-year contract just prior to the start of the season. This was extended by a further year in July 2005.

Previously a junior with AFC Bournemouth, Rayner has a spell with Barry Town before joining Port Talbot. He also had a week-long trial with Premiership giants Newcastle United at the end of the 2003/04 campaign.

Rayner has one under-23 international cap to his name when he kept a clean sheet for his country against the USA in December 2002.

So Bobby Zamora is 24, has a half dozen caps for England U21, and recently rejected a call to play for T&T.

As far as I can tell, Alain Rochat had no senior caps before this summer. Seems like a real waste he didn't get called, even if he would have said no. I thought he was ineligible, but surely the T&T gaffer must know a little more about eligibilty than we, given the Zamora situation?
